I’m a director, showrunner, and creative producer with 20+ years of experience creating documentaries across many genres, on time and on budget, for Netflix, HBO Max, Paramount+, MGM+, Showtime, Vice, and others.

What inspires me in this challenging work is two-fold. I am fascinated by people: I enjoy listening deeply, making connections, finding mutual understanding, and building the trust that allows participants to be fully themselves on camera. I also love the puzzle of the narrative: finding the most compelling way into a story, strategizing how to purposefully dole out information, and deciding which voice should guide the audience at any given moment. For me, the heart of any project is in honoring the people who have shared their perspective while crafting a story that resonates on screen.

About Me:

My love of making documentaries began when I co-directed and produced Crazy Legs Conti: Zen and the Art of Competitive Eating, a scrappy, fully independent film that followed an amateur eater’s hilarious and unexpectedly inspiring journey into the world of competitive eating. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, was acquired by A&E, and set me on a path of telling real-life stories with honesty, empathy, and intention.

Since then I’ve had lead creative roles on projects that span genres and subjects such as true crime and horror (Let the Devil In and Cntr + Alt + Desire), explorations of modern day sexuality (Slutever), intimate portraits (True Life: I’m Changing My Sex), and mysteries of the digital age (They Called Him Mostly Harmless and An Update on our Family). Whether working with interviews, verite, or hosted formats, I always approach the story with a reverence for human complexity and curiosity for how belief, desire, and culture shape who we are.

My leadership style is rooted in collaboration. I’ve built lasting relationships with incredible networks and production companies and talented DPs, editors, and producers who value the creative partnerships we build. I empower each team member to bring their best ideas forward and contribute freely. My role is to listen with an open mind, explore new approaches, and hold the big picture vision with decisiveness to ensure the project stays consistent, on time, and on budget. I believe the best work comes from a team that feels engaged, supported, and excited to create together.
